Considering changing companies – any advice?

Strategic Career Changes: Is It Time to Move On?

As I’ve navigated my role in category management for raw materials within a major Danish pharmaceutical company, I’ve encountered several challenges that have prompted me to consider seeking new opportunities. These challenges include a noticeable lack of support from management, a pervasive atmosphere of negativity, and intricate office politics. Given this environment, it seems like an opportune moment to contemplate a career transition.

With a solid technical and business background, as well as approximately two and a half years of experience in sourcing raw materials for another leading pharmaceutical company, I made the transition to Copenhagen back in January 2025. My decision to join this company was driven by a genuine passion for their innovative products and their significant impact on patients’ lives.

Now, I’m at a crossroads and seeking advice. Should I endure the current situation for another year before making a move, or is it wiser to proactively seek new opportunities now and only transition once a secure offer is on the table? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate connecting with professionals who operate in the same sector within the European Union. Your insights and experiences would be incredibly valuable to me.

Thank you for your guidance and support!
