Public Sector Procurement: Invitation for Expert Insights on Future Skill Needs
Are you a procurement professional working within the UK public sector? If so, your expertise is highly valued, and I invite you to contribute to an important academic research project that aims to shape the future of procurement practices across the United Kingdom.
About the Research
I am currently in the final year of my university studies at a UK institution, conducting a dissertation focused on the evolving landscape of procurement skills over the next decade. The research aims to critically analyze the current competencies within public sector procurement and identify areas for strategic development to meet future challenges.
Participation Details
To ensure a comprehensive perspective, I am seeking professionals from various regions within the UK, including England and Northern Ireland. Already, I have secured interviewees from Wales; however, due to regional differences in regulatory frameworks, I am excluding Scotland from this study to maintain consistency and manage the scope effectively.
Interviews will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams, respecting all confidentiality and data protection protocols established by my university. Participants can be at any stage of their career—ranging from recent graduates to senior procurement leaders—who are currently engaged in public sector procurement.
How to Get Involved
If you’re interested in contributing your insights, please reach out to me via email (preferably using your professional or organizational address). Once contacted, I will provide further details and coordinate a suitable interview time.
Your participation will significantly contribute to a deeper understanding of procurement skill requirements and help inform future educational and policy initiatives within the UK public sector.
Thank You
I appreciate your consideration and the time taken to review this invitation. Your support is invaluable to advancing my research and contributing to the development of the procurement profession.
For questions or further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
